About The owner

Malar Fraser

For nearly three decades, Drakesbrook Antiques & Collectables has been a cherished part of the Waroona community. What began in 1996 as a small country antique shop has grown into one of the most recognisable destinations in town. Our home, the former Bank of New South Wales built in 1934, is now a warm terracotta landmark filled with history, character and a touch of nostalgia.

Owner Malar Fraser has spent years curating a collection that celebrates both beauty and craftsmanship. Her genuine passion for finding unique pieces shines through in every corner of the store. Malar takes joy in getting to know her customers, often setting aside special treasures she knows they will love. Her personal collections of miniature sewing machines, beaded handbags and Art Nouveau jewellery reflect her lifelong love of artistry and detail.
Office Manager

Kim Mitchell

Kim has been a key part of Drakesbrook Antiques & Collectables for more than five years and keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes. Her favourite part of the job is unwrapping new arrivals, especially the jewellery and handbags. Each piece is unique and one of a kind, and Kim loves being the first to see the beautiful treasures that make their way into the shop (and sometimes her home too).

A display like no other

Stepping inside Drakesbrook Antiques & Collectables is like entering a world where every piece has a story to tell. While we are known for our exceptional Moorcroft pottery and handcrafted bears, that is only the beginning.

Each space blends the old with the new, featuring war memorabilia, vintage jewellery, homewares, giftware and clothing. Every display invites you to slow down, explore and uncover something unexpected.

Visiting Drakesbrook is about more than shopping. It is about connection, nostalgia and the joy of finding something truly special.
